I don’t think you can go through life without some sort of paralysis. You’re a child and you grow and grow until something in you says "stop growing so fast". Just the experience of constant change is an emotionally exciting time in most people’s lives. Young adulthood has its milestones. Finding a partner, making a family, including animals, working a job. Change and more change. But still, a deceleration of the emotional excitement that comes from experiencing these things as new. Even cleaning the bathroom the first couple years in your own place isn't so bad. It's the next twenty that kill you.
Anyway, so they become farther apart. Until they are no longer propelled by stages of life itself.
You are paraylized within yourself. You must become the catalyst.
